JUNIOR ELEMENTARY
Junior Elementary (Ages 6-9) - Cultivating Curiosity & Foundational Skills at Shriram Montessori

Shriram Montessori's Junior Elementary program (ages 6-9) offers a vibrant, hands-on environment that nurtures your child's growing independence and intellectual curiosity. Building upon early learning, our curriculum utilizes carefully designed materials to solidify literacy and numeracy skills, fostering confident readers, writers, and problem-solvers.
-
As children explore the world, our integrated lessons in geography, history, and science spark wonder and understanding of their place in the universe. They explore cultures and begin to grasp global diversity. Working collaboratively on projects and using manipulatives, children develop teamwork and, by age nine, start to develop analytical skills and the ability to document their learning through project reports.
-
This stage marks the development of symbolic thinking, allowing children to imagine and explore concepts beyond direct experience. Our program fosters this through inquiry-based learning, encouraging questions, exploration, and creative problem-solving at their own pace, without limits. Socially, children learn to collaborate effectively and develop a strong sense of community. Their growing inner discipline leads to 'joyful obedience', a willing compliance based on understanding.
-
Shriram Montessori's Junior Elementary program lays a robust foundation for future learning, cultivating a love of knowledge, essential skills, and the independence necessary for continued academic success.
