Students of Shriram Montessori Celebrate Diwali with Elderly Residents, Fostering Community Spirit.
This Diwali, the spirit of togetherness and joy extended beyond homes and classrooms as the students of Shriram Montessori, Film Nagar, celebrated the festival with the elderly residents of Kites Senior Care Center, located in Srinagar Colony.

The initiative was part of the school’s ongoing efforts to instill values of empathy, respect, and community service in children from an early age. The students engaged in various activities with the residents, including distributing handmade Diwali cards, performing songs, and creating moments of happiness and connection for everyone present.

The interaction offered a unique opportunity for the children to learn about the importance of kindness, compassion, and the joy of giving. Meanwhile, the residents of Kites Senior Care Center expressed delight at the energy and enthusiasm brought by the young visitors, highlighting the meaningful impact of intergenerational engagement.

Speaking about the event, the school principal said, “Celebrating festivals with the elderly allows our students to understand the value of community, respect, and sharing happiness. These moments foster empathy and build bonds that go beyond age and generations.”

The Diwali celebration at Kites Senior Citizen Center was not just a festive event; it was a reminder that small gestures of love and togetherness can light up lives, spreading the true essence of the festival of lights.
